In summary, the main responsibilities of the role are:


  • In this role you will collaborate in a SCRUM team primarily with other developers, business analysts, testers and business stakeholders spread around the world to build, implement, operate, and maintain new underwriting pricing products across multiple Commercial Insurance lines of business.
  • In this busy working environment, the need to collaborate and communicate with peers and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation in an agile environment is of high importance.
  • Develop and maintain new business-driven global products on the Guidewire platform, specifically PolicyCentre 10.1, to simplify subscription processes and the commercial insurance system landscape.
  • Suggest and share ideas within the project development team, align with other developers, and document coding methods for specific issues to ensure transparency.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of GW PolicyCenter Configuration experience with good exposure to SDLC and Java EE.
  • Experience with full SDLC and iterative (Agile) development lifecycle as used in GW implementations.
  • Hands on GW Implementation Proficiency and Experience in GW Configuration Development.
  • Experience with XML, GUnit, Jenkins, GIT/Subversion/TFS, Code Coverage and Code Scan Plugin/Tools.
  • Leadership – Assertive, Sharp with ability to inspire, bring out the best in individuals and develop a strong configuration team to deliver quality configurations
  • Excellent communication skills, Onsite – Offshore co-ordination
  • Large Scale System Delivery Experience preferably for Policy Administration Systems
  • High level of English, both written and oral.
